[00:00:32] I'm Destiny. I'm Daniel. We challenge you to step into your future, take action, and create a legacy that lasts. Let's go! On a sunny Tuesday afternoon, Leo the Lion had an idea. Not a little idea, not an ordinary idea, a gigantic idea.

[00:00:58] Leo the Lion went racing into the playroom, carrying a huge piece of paper. Lily, you have to see this! Lily hurried over. Leo carefully unrolled his drawing across the floor. Her eyes grew wider and wider. There were roads, bridges, little houses, a castle, a beautiful...

[00:01:24] And right in the middle. The tallest tower either of them had ever imagined. I'm calling it the Great Liontopia City! Lily the Lion pointed to the enormous...

[00:01:54] Confidently. Easy! He was about to discover something very valuable. They got to work. Lily gathered every block she could find. Leo carefully steadied his drawing. They built, and built, and built. They built the buildings, the cars, the little people! The tower grew past Lily's knees. Then her waist.

[00:02:24] Then almost to Leo's shoulders! Hiya, Leo! Leo carefully stretched up and placed one more block on top. The tower wobbled. Left, right, left... Cracked! Blocks flew absolutely everywhere! One disappeared under the couch. Lily blinked.

[00:02:53] Leo stared. Then Lily the Lion looked at him again, again! Leo's mouth dropped. So they tried again. This time, Leo built faster, higher, and higher! Cracked! Leo sighs. Not again! Leo wasn't smiling anymore.

[00:03:22] He looked at the fallen blocks, and then his enormous drawing. Slowly, he picked up his pencil and begun erasing the top of his enormous tower. Leo, what are you doing? Obviously, we can't build that high! Just then, a familiar voice came gently from the doorway. Grandma Lion said, Darlings, may I ask you something?

[00:03:53] Leo the Lion sighed. Okay. What if the tower isn't too big? Grandma the Lion walked over, knelt beside the fallen blocks, and smiled. What if there's simply something you hadn't learned yet? Lies widened! Like what, Grandma Lion?

[00:04:17] Grandma picked up a few blocks, but instead of stacking them higher, she began arranging them wider. A bigger bottom? Leo the Lion exclaimed. Grandma Lion laughed softly. A stronger foundation, Darlings! The higher you want to build, the stronger you must learn to build! Leo looked down at his drawing.

[00:04:45] For a moment, he didn't say anything. Then, he picked up his pencil. But this time, he didn't erase his vision. He drew something new underneath it. A stronger foundation! Leo and Lily began again. But this time, they weren't simply trying harder. They were trying wiser. They learned something! And friends, sometimes that's exactly what growth looks like.

[00:05:15] Not giving up on the vision, the dream! Not repeating the same thing over and over, but becoming willing to ask, What do I need to learn? Ooh, and you get your God-given destiny! What?

[00:06:13] From one of the world's best known leadership teachers! John C. Maxwell! He calls it... Come on Destiny, help me! The law... Hold on... Like, the lid on my water bottle... It asks something that can limit how high something can go!

[00:06:43] And in leadership, knowledge... Take off a lid that I can't even see! By growing! And that may be the most important thing we learned today! A lid is not a label!

[00:07:11] Where you are today does not have to be where you stay! You can learn! You can practice! You can ask questions! You can listen to wise mentors! And can become more disciplined! You can strengthen your character! And every time you grow... The problem wasn't that he couldn't build the tower...

[00:07:40] It was that he didn't know how to build it! Exactly! And notice something else! Grandma Lion didn't build the tower for them! She helped them discover what they do! They don't always remove every challenge! Sometimes they help us become strong enough... Wise enough!

[00:08:09] And prepared enough to solve it ourselves! So if something is hard... What is this trying to teach me? Exactly! That is the future leader question! Imagine someday you want to build a business! That's a wonderful vision! But maybe you haven't learned how to bring value... Or how money works yet! That doesn't mean you can't build a business!

[00:08:37] It means you have something to learn! So you begin learning! Maybe you envision yourself writing a book! But writing still feels difficult! Don't automatically shrink the dream! Learn to write well! Read great books! Practice telling stories! Watch great storytellers! Keep growing!

[00:09:04] Maybe you would like to invent something that nobody invented before! Then become curious! Ask questions! Learn how things work! Study people who have built things before you! Or maybe someday you want to lead! Then start becoming someone people can trust! Keep your word! Listen well! Learn how to negotiate! Communicate well!

[00:09:33] Take responsibility! Apologize when you're wrong! Because leadership doesn't suddenly begin when someone gives you a title! Leadership grows inside you! Long before anyone sees it! So when our mission becomes bigger than what we currently know how to do... Maybe that doesn't mean the mission is impossible! Sometimes it simply means it's time to grow! Yahoo!

[00:10:01] Future leaders, remember this! When your vision becomes bigger than your current ability... Visit! Grow the leader! I want to share something really good with you! Did you know the Bible tells us something beautiful about Jesus when he was young?

[00:10:26] In Luke chapter 2 verse 52, the Bible tells us... And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature! And in favor with God and man! I love this one! Me too! Because growth takes time! We don't have to know everything today!

[00:11:07] That's right! And remember... Growing your ability doesn't make you more valuable! To you! Growth is about becoming better prepared! To faith! Did you know when you learn something challenging? Practice it! Make corrections! And try again!

[00:11:36] Your brain can strengthen the connections that help you be better at that skill! That's right, friends! Your brain can strengthen the connections that help you become better at that! Practice matters! But here's something important! Practice doesn't mean doing the same wrong thing 100 times! Like Leo building the same wobbly tower!

[00:12:05] Crashing again and again! Yes, exactly! Sometimes growth means stopping, asking for help, learning something new, and then trying again... Now, friends, imagine you've been chosen to lead a family project. Everyone is excited, and you have a big idea!

[00:12:31] So, you start telling everyone exactly what to do! Imagine, it sounds like this! You go there! Don't do this! Give me that! And you do this! No, not like that! I don't think so! And suddenly, nobody's having very much fun at all! And you might think... Hmm... They're not listening to me! But a wise leader asks something different!

[00:13:00] Is there something I need to learn? And perhaps you need to learn how to listen! Or maybe how to explain your idea more clearly! Communicate! Eloquently! That's right, Destiny! Maybe how to ask for other people's ideas! Maybe how to encourage, instead of command! The product didn't necessarily need a different vision! It needed a growing leader!

[00:13:30] Someone willing to learn! That's right! And every time you recognize something you need to learn... Never feel embarrassed! Get excited! Because you just discovered something! You discovered where your next level of growth begins! What hit is friends! It's time!

[00:14:01] You can draw your answers like our friend Lily the Lion! Remember...

[00:14:35] What is one thing I want to learn? Anything! Maybe you would like to become... You already have a big vision!

[00:15:04] Draw it at the top of your page about it! Then, underneath it, ask... What will this vision, this dream need me to learn? Wow! That's a powerful question! Perhaps you dream of writing books! Maybe today's little step is reading one! Of building something!

[00:15:31] Maybe today, you teach someone how a tool works! Or perhaps you want to lead! Maybe today you practice listening! That's one of the most important skills a good leader can have! Big rope often begins with one small lesson! Back to the story, friends! Meanwhile, back in the playroom, Something very important was happening!

[00:15:59] Leo and Lily the Lion had rebuilt their foundation! They carefully added another block! And another! And another! And another! The tower grew higher and higher! They held a breath! So carefully placed the final block! They stepped back!

[00:17:06] Frustrated! Instead, he smiled! Let's get to work on the foundation! Grandma Lion smiled from the doorway! She knew Lily and Leo learned something very important today!

[00:17:33] Now you're thinking like builders, my darlings! You're putting in the work! Well done! They built the tower again! Block by block! Even taller! Even stronger! And guess what? It stood tall!

[00:18:03] We sure did, little sister! But discovering that when they reached another challenge, they didn't have to quit! Future leaders, there will be a moment in your life when you don't know what to do! That's right!

[00:18:30] When you reach something you don't know how to do, that doesn't mean you're not smart enough! That doesn't mean your vision or God-given destiny is too big! And it certainly doesn't mean your story is over! It might simply mean there's something new waiting for you to learn! So stay teachable! Stay curious! Listen to wise people! Read! Practice! This! That's right!
