Big Dreams Come With Big Faith!

One beautiful spring morning, a little girl named Diana carefully pressed a tiny sunflower seed into the soft soil. She covered it gently, padded the earth with

[00:01:01] obviously with both little hands. She came with both little hands. She gave it a small drink of water and smiled. Tomorrow she whispered, I'll have a flower! The next morning she hurried outside as fast as her little legs could take her. She looked and nothing! The second morning she looked again. Still nothing! The third morning, she looked again. Still nothing!

[00:01:31] She sighed. I don't think it's growing. And just then, a beautiful butterfly floated gently across the garden. It danced through the morning sunshine before softly landing on a nearby sunflower leaf. And a familiar voice spoke from behind her. My sweet girl, come sit with me.

[00:01:59] Grandma smiled and gently brushed a little bit of dirt from her granddaughter's hands. Just because you can't see something happening, doesn't mean nothing's happening. Every day, that tiny seed is growing stronger beneath the soil. It's growing roots long before anyone sees the flower. That's right, friends. And sometimes God grows people the very same way.

[00:03:23] Today's Legacy Short is about something every great leader learns. Tell them, Daniel! It's being faithful in the little things. Sometimes children dream about doing big things someday. Helping people. Building businesses. Creating amazing advances. Making the world a better place. Those are wonderful dreams, friends.

[00:03:53] But do you know where big dreams usually begin? With little faithful choices. That's right. One kind choice. One honest choice. One prayer. One responsibility. One page read. One promise kept. One little step at a time. Those are great.

[00:04:18] Speaking of great, great leaders are not built all at once. They grow one faithful day at a time. Have you ever thought, this is too little to matter? Yes. Maybe it was putting your shoes away. Returning a borrowed book. Finishing a responsibility. Or practicing something that still felt difficult. Yes. Little things may seem ordinary.

[00:04:47] But little things often grow. Into extraordinary lives. Just like that tiny seed. Every day the little girl watered it. Even when she couldn't see anything happen. Yes. She was learning something much bigger than gardening. She was learning faithfulness. Patience. Jesus taught, Whoever could be trusted with very little

[00:05:16] can also be trusted with much. We read that in Luke chapter 16, verse 10. That is so good. God sees every faithful choice. Every promise you keep. Every time you choose to do the right thing. Even when nobody else notices. Think about learning to read. At first, every page feels slow. Some words feel hard.

[00:05:46] Some are brand new. Cook with a parent. Or care for a little garden. Or clean up your house. And be responsible. At first, it doesn't feel easy. But every time you practice, you're watering another little seed. And one day, you'll do something that once felt impossible. And you'll smile because you didn't give up. What happened to the little girl's seed then?

[00:06:15] A whole week passed. A whole week passed. Still, the little girl didn't see a flower. She wondered if her grandmother had been wrong. But every morning, she filled her little watering can and quietly watered the soil anyway. Then, one beautiful morning, she ran outside, looked down, and gasped.

[00:06:43] A tiny green sprout was peeking through the dirt. She was so excited, she dropped her watering can. Grandmother smiled. Do you know why it's growing? Because every day, you chose to be faithful, even when you couldn't see what God was doing. Friends, before that flower ever bloomed, something else had been growing. Roots,

[00:07:13] deep, strong, healthy roots. That's right. Sometimes God grows roots in us before he grows flowers for everyone else to see. Did you know every time you practice something, your brain becomes stronger at doing it? That's right. That means every faithful choice is helping you prepare for tomorrow. Okay, friends, do you know what time it is?

[00:07:44] It's time for the Legacy Leader John. Time to bring your brave thoughts. And if you don't know how to write,

[00:08:13] you can draw answers. Like our friends, this question is, what seed do I have? Maybe your seed is learning to read. Spending time with God, telling the truth, practicing a new skill, helping your family, gratitude.

[00:08:43] There's no wrong answer. You can talk about it later with your caregiver, and your friends, and your siblings. Remember, beautiful gardens aren't grown in one day. They're grown one faithful day at a time. The little girl didn't grow the flower by watering it one time. She grew it by faithfully caring for it day after day. One faithful choice,

[00:09:13] one honest choice. Yes, one kind choice, one little step at a time. Because today's little faithfulness becomes tomorrow's beautiful harvest. Is this legacy taught encouraged you today? Set it with another future leader who is faithfully growing one small step at a time. Friends, we're so proud of you

[00:09:49] even when you can't see them growing yet. Because God is doing beautiful work beneath the surface. Remember, you are faithful. You are growing. You are becoming the leader God created you to be. Now say it with us. I could be faithful in little things, and God will help me grow. Okay, friends.

[00:10:16] Be faithful in little things. And never forget this. God planted gifts, wisdom, and courage. Friends, one day you'll look back and realize
