🎙️EP 165 Be Worth Following: What Makes a Great Leader!
(Legacy Life Leadership Lessons)
ENTREPRENEUR KIDS LEGACY SHOW
Hosted by Daniel and Destiny
✨ What makes someone a real leader?
Is it being the loudest, the bossiest, or the one in charge? Or is it something deeper?
In this powerful and eye opening episode of the Entrepreneur Kids Legacy Show, Daniel and Destiny teach young leaders a life-changing truth: leadership isn't about being first, it's about being worth following. Through a fun and relatable story, kids discover the difference between trying to lead by control versus leading by care, connection, and example.
This episode helps children understand that real leadership is about how you treat people, how you show up, and how you help others succeed. By the end, young listeners will feel inspired to lead with kindness, confidence, and purpose, becoming the kind of leader others naturally want to follow.
👉 Leadership isn't about being first, it's about being worth following.
This episode helps kids understand that:
• Real leaders help others succeed
• Leadership is about how you treat people
• People follow leaders they trust and feel safe with
Because the truth is:
👉 The best leaders don't force people to follow, they inspire people to join.
🧠 WHAT KIDS WILL LEARN
• The difference between bossy leadership and real leadership
• Why people don't follow leaders who only give orders
• How helping and listening builds trust
• Why kindness and care make leaders stronger
• How to lead by example instead of control
• Why leadership starts with character
This episode teaches kids:
👉 Leadership is about influence, not control.
💡 BIG IDEA: PEOPLE FOLLOW HOW YOU MAKE THEM FEEL
Leadership isn't just about results
👉 It's about relationships.
People remember:
• how you treated them
• how you helped them
• how you made them feel
And that determines:
👉 Whether they follow you or not.

🛠️ TACTICAL LEGACY CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK
This week's challenge:
👉 Be a leader in one small, intentional way
Not by telling people what to do…
But by:
• helping someone without being asked
• encouraging someone
• including someone
• lifting someone up
Then ask yourself:
👉 "Did I make people feel stronger… or smaller?"
Because:
👉 That's how real leaders grow.

[00:00:32] I'm Destiny. I'm Daniel. We challenge you to step into your future, take action, and create a legacy that lasts. Let's go! Good day, my courageous builders and legacy leaders! Welcome back to the Entrepreneur Kids Legacy Show, where strong characters built, big idea, your courageous business buddy. And I'm Destiny, your sweet friend.
[00:01:11] You're encouraging, and your reminder that others rise too! We're talking about something very important. Can you guess? It starts with an L and has the word ship in it. And I'll tell you if you figured it out. It starts with an L and it has a ship in it. Leadership! Leadership today. Not just any leadership, the kind that people want to follow. Let's get in the movie!
[00:01:59] Legacy leaders! Legacy leaders! Okay, when we say legacy leaders! Legacy!
[00:02:30] Legacy! Have you ever seen someone trying to lead, but no one ever wanted to follow them? Or what to do? But they didn't help! Bossy doesn't equal boss. Speak people kindly. Today, we're learning something powerful. Today, we're learning something powerful. Being a leader isn't about being first. It's about being worth.
[00:03:01] For the story of the day, little sister, legacy leaders! Three, two, and Obel Dale!
[00:04:28] Something out of one! Looking over each other. Some kids don't know what their job is. Completely!
[00:04:54] Look at this kid's business fair. There's something important happening here. Look! In the middle of the crowd, two kids step forward. The first kid says loudly,
[00:05:14] Everyone, listen to me! I'm the leader! Oh no! That was a little bossy. I bet a few kids got a little intimidated. That's right! Look! They're trying to walk away. They look frustrated and confused and disconnected. Oh look! Something's changing! Look, Destiny!
[00:05:41] You're right! The second little boy is stepping forward. But this time, he's not shouting. You're right! He kneels down beside a group of kids. He's smiling and he's listening first. Oh! And then he says, Hey! I see what you're trying to build! What if we worked on this together? I have a plan we could try step by step! Oh wow! He's not trying to be the boss. He's helping!
[00:06:10] Yes! He's really noticing what people are good at. Like he's noticing who's good at drawing, who's good at organizing, patient and public speaking. Wait Daniel! Look what's happening now! That group finished their table already! Wow! That was fast!
[00:06:42] Because now, they're not just building something. They're building it together. Complimenting each other and learning from each other. Listen! I can hear laughter now. You're right! Before it was loud and messy. Now it sounds happy and exciting. Did you notice that, Legacy Leaders? The moment someone chose to help, everything started to work.
[00:07:09] Friends, real leaders don't force people to follow them. They create something people want to be a part of. Wow Daniel! That felt really different! It did! Because that wasn't just about leading. It was about how you treat people. And that's what makes someone worth following. Oh, it's Leo's notebook!
[00:07:35] And do something next to it in whole book! It makes people worth following!
[00:08:03] Great! Connects everything we learned! That was a fantastic adventure, wasn't it friends? It sure was! Alright friends, so what did we learn today? Daniel, go through the steps for us. My pleasure! Step 1. Lead by example. Do what you say, show the way. Step 2. Care about people.
[00:08:31] Listen, help, include others. Step 3. Build together. Leaders don't build alone. They bring people together. That's a great leadership formula! Lead with action. Lead with care. Build together. Daniel, this feels bigger than just leadership. It is! Because this is how we build strong families. Strong friendships and strong futures.
[00:09:00] And of course, strong faith too. Because leadership isn't just about what you build. It's about how adults are still learning. Yippity dappity! Remember legacy leaders! The best leaders don't just lead!
[00:09:22] What to do, where to go, how to do,
[00:10:52] for the challenge accepted. This week's challenge, an all intentional way.
[00:11:01] It helps you navigate great leadership.
