EP 163 Your Voice Can Start a Movement! Charlie Kirk started speaking up as a teenager and never stopped.
(Modern Entrepreneurs & Leaders Legacy Series)
ENTREPRENEUR KIDS LEGACY SERIES
Hosted by Daniel and Destiny
This episode was originally launched at 6AM, hours before our friend Charlie Kirk was tragically taken. We had plans to attend the event at the Utah campus to see him... We were so excited to share it with the world and couldn't wait for him and his family to hear it.
As children, it's hard to understand loss and grief. We both loved Charlie deeply, and like so many other kids who admired him, we turnend to prayer for comfort and strength. We invite you to pray for Charlie's family. May God bring peace, love, and healing to every heart.
Our wish is that this podcast can serve as a tribute to his legacy.
Charlie was more than a voice. He was a great man, a devoted husband, and a loving father. His legacy will continue to inspire for generations come. We invite you to listen to this special episode of the Entrepreneur Kids Legacy Show Now honoring Charlie's life and his legacy.
Rest in peace, Charlie.
Your legacy lives on forever the world loves you!

There's greatness inside all of us, but greatness doesn't happen. It takes boldness, courage, and leadership. Welcome to the Entrepreneur Kids Legacy Show, where we think big, big broadly, and make amazing things happen.
[00:00:32] I'm Destiny. I'm Daniel. We challenge you to step into your future, take action, and create a legacy that lasts. Let's go! Legacy leaders, it's your adventurous and loving, cute or sweet cookies. You guys look so cute today. And I'm your business buddy, Daniel. Welcome back to another epic episode of the Entrepreneur Kids Legacy Show.
[00:01:07] This is where you become the bold, Kind, and Unstoppable Leader God Created You to Be. Oh, Daniel, I'm so excited about today's story, because it's about speaking up, even when you're young, and building something that changes the world together with your family. Today's Legacy lesson comes from a man who started a mission.
[00:01:37] When he started, he was just a teenager, like in high school. Now he's leading millions of people to think differently, be courageous, and follow God's truth. And his family is right there with him, building the dream together.
[00:01:56] This lesson proves that legacy starts now, not someday. And the strongest legacies are built with the people you love. Daniel, can you get in today's story, handsome, please? Okay, okay. So let's take our listeners way back. That's your cue, Destiny. Wait, wait, Destiny. But not too far back. Are you ready, friends?
[00:02:30] Once upon a time, in the suburbs of Chicago? In Chicago, there was a boy named Charlie Kirk. He wasn't famous. He wasn't rich. But he had something valuable. He had ideas. He had courage. And he had the power to communicate.
[00:02:52] That's right, Daniel. When Charlie was in high school, most kids were thinking about dances and homework. But Charlie, he was thinking about America, how it was built, why freedom mattered. And what could happen if people didn't stand up for the truth? Did you hear that, friends?
[00:03:17] Did you hear that, friends? So listen. He entered an essay contest. And while doing it, he also lost. I bet you didn't expect that. But instead of giving up, he took that moment and said, You know what? I'm going to make a difference anyway. Go Charlie! At just 18 years old. That's right. Just 18.
[00:03:46] He found a turning point USA. At first, it was just him, a friend, and a dream. No giant office, no big budget, just faith, boldness, and willing to work hard.
[00:04:05] And he did. He started traveling to schools, talking to students, and teaching them about freedom, leadership, and how one voice can make a big impact. Yes. And here's the thing, friends. Charlie didn't wait until he was older to be a leader. He started young. And God opened more. And more doors.
[00:04:32] Yes. And the door sure opened. And God wasn't just part of the message. He was the foundation. Charlie's never been afraid to share his faith. He believes God made him for a purpose. And he encourages others to live by their faith boldly, too. He makes it a point to always include in his faith. Yes. That is so powerful.
[00:05:01] Fast forward a few years. And Charlie's mission kept growing. He started a podcast, wrote books, spoke on huge stages, and reached millions of people. But something was missing. And that's when he met Erica.
[00:05:25] Erica. They got married, and before long, they welcomed their first baby to the family. But now, his family isn't on the sidelines. They're part of the mission. Erica's often with him at events. She also speaks and started her own clothing brand. She also has a podcast.
[00:05:52] And most importantly, can I add, they're building their life together. Yes. With the same values Charlie talks about. Faith, courage, and responsibility. It's like they're saying, we're not just talking about a legacy. We're living it together as a family. That's a great story. Yes, yes. He's really a great influence. He's someone we can look up to.
[00:06:21] So, what can we learn from Charlie Cook's story? Well, for one, I learned, don't wait to lead. If you see something that needs to be said or done, step up now. Don't be shy. That's right. You don't have to do it all alone. The biggest dreams are born when your family is a part of it. Yeah, woo-hoo.
[00:06:48] Yes. And plus, be ready to stand up for the truth, even if it's not popular. That's real leadership. Yes, that's real leadership. All right, legacy leaders. Guess what time it is. I know, I know. It's time for the legacy. Dun-dun-dun-dun. Dun-dun-dun.
[00:07:35] Charlie, when he started Turning Point USA. A. Was he 16 years old? B. Was he 18 years old? Or C. Was he 21 years old? Bonus question. What's one thing Charlie always includes in his speeches? Hint. It's a big part of his life.
[00:08:05] Okay, guys. We're just going to tell you it now. The answer is his faith in God. Okay, go check your answer for the Legacy Lightning Fun Facts route in the show notes. And don't forget to leave your favorite part of the show on the platform you're listening on today.
[00:08:29] Leave it in the comment section so we can choose the next Legacy Leader of the Month. And don't forget to leave a special five stars. It helps the show grow so we can get to the people that need the message. Yes! Here's your challenge of the week. Are you ready? Write down something you believe in strongly.
[00:08:56] Yes, something you think is important for your community, your family, and your friends to know. And then share it with the people you love, like a parent, a teacher, or your friends. It doesn't have to be a speech. It just has to be bold enough to start the conversation. And remember, big changes start small. That's right.
[00:09:23] If Charlie Cook could start a movement at 18, I know what you're about to say. And yes, you could start a mission right now. It reminds me of my favorite quote. Do what you can with what you have where you are. Quote by Theodore Roosevelt. Ha ha! I love that one. Do what you can with what you have where you are. Quote by Theodore Roosevelt.
[00:09:54] Lead with courage, build with your family, and stand on God's truth. And yes, watch how God grows your legacy. One bird step at a time. We love you, legacy leaders. Together we're building a new generation of entrepreneurs.
[00:10:16] With purpose, kindness, and bold voices. And we love you and we'll see you where you are.
[00:10:41] Thank you for listening to the other one else's doing yet.
