[00:01:02] Your big ideas live in hearts just like yours. And dreams are built one bold step at a time. Okay, real talk. Have you ever looked at a blank piece of paper? Or maybe a Lego set with a billion pieces? And you felt, ugh, I have no idea what I'm doing yet! That's the key word, yet! You're right Destiny. Because sometimes I sit down to build a blank piece of paper. And you felt, ugh, I have no idea what I'm doing yet! That's the key word, yet!
[00:01:32] Build something! And this little voice in my head says, are you sure you can do this? But then I remember, just start small. Just begin! Take one brave piece at a time. And before I know it, bam! I built a rocket ship, a race car, or even a dream I didn't know I had!
[00:01:55] That's so cool, Daniel! Exactly! I saw you build that space ship! It was so cool! You don't need to have it all figured out to start something amazing, because every masterpiece starts with a mess! And today's story proves that you don't have to wait until you're growing up to make something that lasts forever!
[00:02:22] Today we're talking about a child who saw something beautiful, hidden in something most people ignored! He looked at a big old chunk of rock and said, I see a king in there! He didn't wait for permission! He didn't wait to feel ready! He just started carving! And that's what made him one of the greatest artists of all time!
[00:02:49] Welcome to the legacy of Michael Anzalo! Michael Anzalo was born in Italy, way back in 1475! He was born in Italy, way back in 1475! He was born in Italy, way back in 1475! He was born in Italy, way back in 1475! He was born in Italy, way back in 1475! While other kids were playing games outside, Michael Anzalo loved drawing and creating!
[00:03:18] He'd sneak into the churches just to copy the paintings and sculptures he saw! His hands couldn't stop moving! They were always sketching! But not everyone understood his gift! His dad wanted him to be a successful businessman! But Michael Anzalo? He just wanted to make things that mattered! He felt called! He knew that he was blessed!
[00:03:48] By the time he was 24, he carved the world famous statue of David! Yes, that's right! The one from the Bible who beat Goliath with just a sling and a stone! Michael Anzalo carved that statue from a block of marble that was cracked, that was broken and tossed aside by other artists! They didn't see the blessing he saw!
[00:04:17] But he saw what no one else saw! He said that I saw the angel in the marble and I carved until I set him free! Isn't that amazing? Can you imagine that? Where others saw trash, Michael Anzalo saw treasure! Where they saw broken, he saw beauty! And he didn't stop with David!
[00:04:44] He also sculpted the breathtaking Pieta! A statue of Mary holding Jesus after the cross! It's so detailed it looks alive! Mommy told Daddy she cried when she saw it in real life! It was so beautiful! So Daddy wants to take us all to go see it together! And guess what? He also painted the Sistine Chapel!
[00:05:11] That's a gigantic ceiling covered with over 300 people and nine Bible stories like God creating Adam, Noah's Ark and more! All with paint and all on his back! That's right Daniel! He painted laying down for four years! Now that's commitment! That's legacy!
[00:05:36] And maybe that statue of David reminded Michael Anzalo of... 1 Samuel 16, 7 Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart! God saw something great inside David! And Michael Anzalo reminded the world... There's greatness hidden inside all of us! Me, my brother, and my mom, and my dad too, also!
[00:06:06] And you guys! So what does this mean for you, Legacy Leader? It's Legacy Lesson time, so listen up! Maybe your dreams feel too big! Or maybe you even feel like a cracked piece of marble! Like you've been overlooked or misunderstood! But remember this! God never wastes a single piece of you! Ooh Daniel, that's so, so powerful! That's right!
[00:06:35] He puts a masterpiece inside of you! You know what your job is? Don't hide it! Don't wait for it to be perfect! Just start saving it! One bird step at a time!
