Today we're gonna talk about someone from a long, long time ago! This person loved asking questions! Kind of like when kids ask why about everything! That's right! He was kind of like the original why kid! And he was one of the greatest teachers in history!

[00:02:05] Okay, friends! Before we tell you today's story, I have a question for you! Have you ever asked, why is the sky blue? Or why do cats pull? Or why do my parents drink so much water? Gah, gah, gah, gah? Oh, I've asked that one! And guess what? Parents don't always know the answer either! But asking big questions is awesome! It's how we learn new things! It's how we invent!

[00:02:34] It's even how we build businesses! Where is the money going to come from? Exactly! Every big discovery in history started with someone brave enough to ask, why? Curiosity is like a superpower! And today's story is about someone who's really, really good at asking questions! Like I said before, maybe the best why kid who ever lived!

[00:03:01] Ooh, that's a big hint! So do we tell them who it is yet? Because I vote yes! Not yet! Let's rewind time together first! Way back! Because our story starts over 2,300 years ago! Ready? Daniel, are you ready to tell the story?

[00:03:31] Yes, yes! But first, let me rewind the time machine even more!

[00:04:05] Upon a time, over 2,300 years ago, there was a little... He was born in a little place called Stagyra in ancient Greece! Ooh, Stagyra. That sounds very ancient! Aristotle's dad was a doctor for the king! Little Aristotle grew up around books, learning, and science!

[00:04:34] He was so curious about everything, just like us! He wanted to know, why do plants grow? Why do stars shine? And why do animals act the way they do? He was so curious about everything! You're right, Destiny! He wanted to know everything! When he got older, Aristotle studied at a famous school.

[00:05:00] The school was called Plato's Academy in Athens. That's right! His teacher was the famous philosopher Plato! Aristotle stayed there almost 20 years, learning, debating questions. Guess what? Later, Aristotle... That's right! Called the Lyceum!

[00:05:28] That's what I was gonna say! The Lyceum! And in that school, he taught his students by walking around and talking with them. That's why people sometimes call his students peripatetics! That's right! Peripatetics! It means walkers! Isn't that fun? That's funny! Walkers! You wanna hear something really big?

[00:05:55] Aristotle became the teacher of... Alexander the Great! The boy who grew up to be one of the most powerful leaders in history! Talk about leaving a legacy! Whoa, so Aristotle's curiosity didn't just change his own life! It helped save the whole world! It sure did!

[00:06:22] Because his student, Alexander, carried what he learned everywhere he went! That was an amazing story, Daniel! It sure was! So what did we learn from Aristotle? Well, Destiny, we learned that asking questions is a superpower! Curiosity can lead to discovery, invention, and leadership! Entrepreneurs are like Aristotle!

[00:06:52] That's right! They just don't accept things as they are! They ask why and how can we make it better! And that's what we need to do! We need to ask great questions all the time! Great questions equals great lessons! That's right, Destiny! And we learned that teaching just one person, like Aristotle teaching Alexander,
